Kindifarm staff have current Working with Children Checks and are covered by workers compensation insurance.
Kindifarm has Public Liability insurance for up to $20,000,000.
Research and clinical observations over the last two decades has shown that animal association may contribute to:
- Reduction in blood pressure and stress levels, lower plasma triglyceride and cholesterol levels
- Facilitation of social interaction between strangers
- Improvement in the quality of life for elderly persons
- Socialization of young children with their peers
- Development of nurturing behavior and humane attitudes in children who may grow to be more nurturing adults. An emphasis on nurture of people, animals and the environment helps to promote a peaceful and sustainable coexistence.

Kindifarm assists in educating people of all ages by giving them a real hands-on experience to learn about animals by sight, sound, smell and touch.
Tracey Johnston, RIDBC (The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children) Hunter Director, says the children love to see the animals and to pat and feed them in a way that is non-threatening or overwhelming.
“For children who have a vision or hearing impairment, language must be taught explicitly,” said Tracey. “Providing real life experiences such as the Kindifarm, we are able to use the children’s interest in animals as a springboard for further language development. We can also consolidate and refine the language they have already acquired.”

Certified Training Partners participate in an extensive educational program, and demonstrate a high level of expertise and understanding of scientifically based positive reinforcement training methods.
