Learning through Kindifarm

Kindifarm for schools is an educational experience that fits in with the NSW DET syllabus requirements LT ES1.3, ES ES1.6, PS ES1.5, TES1.3, LT S1.3, ES S1.6, PS S1.5, and TS1.1

Science and Technology and HSIE are our main Key Learning Areas.

Curriculum links are made through the strands: Meeting Needs, Paddock to Plate, Growing and Changing, Living Things, Earth and its Surroundings and Products and Services.

LT ES1.3 Identifies ways in which living things are different and have different needs.

LT S1.3 Identifies and describes ways in which living things grow and change.

ES ES1.6 Explores and identifies ways the environment influences their daily lives.

ES S1.6 Identifies and describes ways in which people and other living things depend upon the Earth and its environments.

PS ES1.5 Recognises the relationship between everyday products and people’s needs.

PS S1.5 Grows, makes or processes some products using a range of techniques and materials.

STe-4WS explores their immediate surroundings by questioning, observing using their senses and communicating to share their observations and ideas

STe-8NE identifies the basic needs of living things

STe-9ME identifies that objects are made of materials that have observable properties

STe-10ME recognises how familiar products, places and spaces are made to suit their purpose

English is a secondary learning area:

TES1.3 Communicates with peers and known adults in informal situations and structured activities dealing briefly with familiar topics.

TS1.3 Communicates with an increasing range of people for a variety of purposes on both familiar and introduced topics in spontaneous and structured classroom activities.
