What locations can Kindifarm visit?
Our insurance covers Kindifarm events in all locations in Australia. However if you are thinking of having us in a public park, look at your local council’s website for conditions that may apply. For example, all of these parks are free to use for parties of up to 50 people. What happens if it rains?
We bring a small marquee which is enough to provide cover for our animals but, it is not enough to provide shelter for children or adults attending. We are happy to come regardless of weather, if you have any undercover space we can set up there. We require at least 4 hours prior notice if customers wish to cancel or postpone. We can provide a full refund. However, if we are NOT notified at least 4 hours prior, customers will incur a minimum $150 cancellation fee to cover staff wages. Please call us on 0415 708 708 should you wish to postpone, or cancel with a refund.
What happens if I have to cancel for any other reason, including COVID?

Does Kindifarm provide shade?
Yes we bring a shade shelter to put over the pen for the animals. It doesn’t extend to cover the children however. Any natural shade available is always appreciated in summer. If you have shade cover that can provide a nice shady spot for the children to sit under. The more shade the better.
What time will you be arriving to set up?
We arrive half an hour prior to set up for mini Bookings, 45 minutes for the larger display that includes the calf. If the event is 4 hours or longer, we arrive 1 hour prior.
Do we have to pay extra for travel?
Within Sydney there is no extra cost. However there is an additional travel fee to areas such as the Blue Mountains. Central coast, Wollongong & Newcastle. We can travel up to 2.5 hours from Sydney and can provide a quote for travel fees.
Services available outside Sydney include: Matilda’s Farmyard Nursery (Wollongong), Old Kentucky Farm (Goulburn), and Alpaca Magic (Canberra).
When and how do I pay?
We require payment in full 2 weeks prior to the event unless otherwise agreed in writing. You will receive an invoice which outlines the different methods of payment we offer. Customers can pay via direct deposit, cheque or using AMEX/MC/VISA using our secure pay online system. Failure to pay your account by this date may result in Kindifarm not attending.
It can take a few days for payments to reach us. You will receive an emailed receipt from us once your payment has been received and processed.
PLEASE NOTE: customers with overdue accounts are liable for debt collection costs in addition.
Will Kindifarm staff mind all the children?
Kindifarm staff are not responsible for the care or supervision of children at any time. We are responsible for the welfare of the animals. We are responsible for ensuring both children and animals have a positive experience together. Any child who is not supervised by an adult to the satisfaction of the Kindifarm employee will not be allowed to participate in Kindifarm activities.
Can I make money by booking Kindifarm for a fund-raiser?
We are happy for you to collect money, but please don’t expect to cover the cost of our visit this way. Whilst we run a range of activities, we do not allow children in the pen with the animals. We supervise pellet feeding, bottle feeding and holding the animals. We do have lots of great ideas for successful fund-raising. Kiss the pig competition, Guess the weight of the pig, and wristbands paid for in advance. Please contact us for more information.
Will the animals bite?
Animal behaviour is unpredictable and there are inherent risks associated with handling and feeding animals; such as occasional scratches, bites and poops.
Will there be sheep shearing and whip cracking?
These activities may be offered as a free activity when you make a booking with Kindifarm. They will appear on your invoice if they are part of what you have booked. However, in order for these activities to be offered Kindifarm requires dry weather, an area 4m x 4m minimum with no height restrictions; and all children to be safely supervised and seated for these demonstrations. Whether or not the conditions are suitable for sheep shearing and whip cracking will be at the decided at the discretion of the Kindifarm employee.
Can I hire hay bales?
Unfortunately we don’t have room in our vehicles for lots of extra hay bales. We suggest you buy straw, which is cheaper than hay, and probably what you are thinking of. They can be purchased from produce stores, or some large nurseries. They can be hired from Kensington Produce.
How many staff come?
All visits include one staff member. Visits of 4 hours duration or longer require 2 staff members. You can choose to book another staff member in addition if you have a tricky set-up including lift access, or are expecting lots of children to participate at the same time and would like more supervision of animal holding activities.
How much space will I need?
Kindifarm 2 hour parties need a minimum 3m x 4m of space, plus additional room for the children to sit to hold the animals.
Mini Kindifarm parties need a minimum 2m x 1m of space, plus additional room for the children to sit to hold the animals.
Mini Kindifarm fetes need 2m x 4m. The pen can be made larger to suit your space.
Kindifarm 2 hour fetes need 3m x 4ms.
Our large display for fetes 4 hours and longer need 10m x 5ms.
Which animals are coming?
You have either booked: a calf, baby lambs and goats, older sheep and goats, a piglet, rabbits, baby chickens and a duck
OR: a baby lamb and/or goat, rabbits, guinea pigs, baby chicks, a duck and a silky hen. Your invoice will list which animals are coming.
What about pony rides?
No we do not offer pony rides. They can be booked in addition through many companies. Google ‘ponies hire Sydney’ for options.
Can I hire just one animal?
For sure. Our minimum charge however, covers transportation and a staff member to supervise the animal at all times. So one animal is the same price as hiring more animals.
