Kindifarm chicks are generally 2-4 weeks old. They come in the colours brown, yellow, black or grey.

Kindifarm is also home to a variety of Adult Hens & Roosters.

Interesting facts about chickens:

• Chickens are omnivores and eat small seeds, leaves, grass, fruit, grubs and insects.
• A male chicken is called a rooster, and is larger and more brightly coloured than the female.
• The female chicken is called a hen.
• Baby chickens are called chicks.
• A group of chickens is called a flock.
• A chicken can run 14kms an hour when it wants too!
• There are more chickens in the world than their are people.
• The chicken is the closest living relative to Tyrannosaurus-rex!
• Some breeds of chickens can lay colored eggs. Even green and blue!
• Chickens have over 200 distinct noises they can make for communicating.
• A chicken has a comb on its head and two wattles under the neck.
• A hen lays about 300 eggs in a year.
